Antihistamines like

of sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; and a runny nose by blocking the action
of histamine. Released by your immune system, histamine is an irritating
chemical reaction to a substance you’re allergic to. Loratadine
is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine with selective peripheral histamine
H1-receptor antagonistic
activity.
