Soke Grandmaster Soto was presented with a Letter of Commendation and certificate from the Mayor of San Diego, Mayor Susan Golding, and a Letter of Commendation and certificate from the Mayor of Hollywood, Mayor Johnny Grant. The Letters of Commendation and certificates were given to Soke Grandmaster Soto for his outstanding dedication and hard work to improve the lives of the men, women and children in the community. And in recognition of his efforts in establishing the First International Hall of Fame in San Diego and uniting Martial Artists and Community Members from the local community and the international community from around the world.

HOW TO SUBMIT TO THE GGMAHF -- Read this below
OPEN TO ALL MARTIAL ARTS STYLES - NOT PREJUDICED
If you believe you are one of these candidates that because for some unknown reason you have not been recognized by any other Hall of Fame, then we welcome all martial artists from all around the continent or all around the world to submit their 2000-word meaning 2 page biographies and 2 8x10's action photos, preferable, and 3 references that we can get in touch with about your background and history. We are open to all styles of martial arts. Even female competitors from around the world.
The Hall of Fame will begin, the year 2001. Coming to a town or city near you. So for those interested in being nominated, Applications should be submitted with the above contents--Starting April 1999. Again the references should be by 3 Grandmasters that recognize your skills, or the community leadership programs that you have worked with or a list of martial arts in the community that know who you are and have a reputable background. Signed and dated at the time you submit your application with names, phones, and address, in a legible writing.
Response time will take from 5 to 10 weeks for time to review the application.
Open to the general public to vote.
